A post to make his friends proud and her friends gag.

We're an equal opportunity blog.
It's spring turkey season.
His FAVORITE hunting season.
He's been 4 times already.
Being the supportive wife that I am,
I am searching for wild turkey recipes,
washing a lot of camouflage,
and trying to fall back to sleep after the 4:30am alarm.

We saw some wild turkeys up by Target just the other day. Should have called to let him know....but they probably won't let you shoot in city limits! :)

T will be SO jealous! He wanted to go turkey hunting this year but the only place he knows of to go, Sam Houston State Park, told him there were no turkeys ... sad day for him. Good Luck with the cooking :)

Tara, you are a good wife!!! I definitely gagged at the sight of that large, dead bird. Brings back memories of when my dad would take me and my sister along to go pheasant hunting!!

OH WOW! I wouldn't even know where to start with that thing. A good wife indeed. Please keep us informed on what you make or do with it :)

Oh, Tara. I couldn't do it. I eat turkey and all, but I couldn't actually cook one my husband shot. You are a supportive wife.

And the boys look so cute in their camo!

Yep, impressed and grossed out all in one!

Is it because my husband is a spring turkey enthusiast, too, that I'm not gagging AT ALL?...Or maybe I have no heart...either way, we marinated and grilled our turkey breasts and they were delish.

=) I can't believe they make camo that tiny! What a great wife, Mike is extremely envious. I might send him your way!

Wow! Big turkey. You are such a good wife. But super cute picture of the "boys" in camo together. Like father, like son! :)

This is James Gerhart. That's so cool! I always wanted to get a turkey. My mom got our boys camo outfits when they were little; they are cute. I'm going to be at Tara's parents' place on the evening of the 19th. I'd like to say hi.

Great blog, Tara.
