An entire week (an important week!) sacrificed to flu suffering.
In my feverish state only one thought went round and round.
Why (!?) did I not get the vaccine.
My little list of Christmas "to-dos" kept getting pushed,
"maybe tomorrow. maybe tomorrow."
Until finally, "maybe next year" and that sort of thing is hard for me.
I hate being sick.
But Christmas cards...oh, their coming.
They might be Happy New Year cards instead.
I was thinking you could just look at our family photo and point to the people with flu.
Maybe I'll put the answer on the back.
And really, won't that be fun?

Tara!! so sorry. i've had the flu, twice, and I imagine it is what death is like. it's just awful. and i can't imagine trying to take care of sick children while you are sick. i hope your family gets better soon. i got the flu a couple years back and i got other complications from it and didn't work for a month. NO ONE got christmas cards from us that year. again, hope you are on the mend!!

Oh Tara! I am so so sorry! That is terrible timing. I wish I could bring over some homemade soup for you and your family.

Take care, get some rest, drink lots and feel better SOON.

Puh-lease, I will be happy to get a Valentine's card from your family. Even Easter! Whenever you can...

You poor baby! We spent a Christmas sick two years ago (flu + strep) and it was the most miserable ever. I have much sympathy for you and your babies. Good luck and here's to getting better soon!
