Where credit is due

Last week David spent an entire day painting furniture for me.
We're swapping rooms around here.
It's a lot of work to decorate on a shoestring budget,
but David is always willing to make my dreams come true :)
Oh, and it was also deer hunting weekend.
So he was just scoring some extra points
and ensuring I had nothing to whine about while he was gone.
(It worked.)
I've started to assemble the rooms,
and there is a lot left to do.
But boy oh boy, it's my favorite thing..."setting up".
Just ask my mom, who swears I never never actually played house as a little girl.
She says I spent the whole time setting up my kitchen.
I annoyed more than one playmate, and some sisters too I'm sure.

**Lily's beautiful bed is an antique from craigslist,
and the detail shot is her polka-dot duvet cover and fabric for a pillow...
(that has yet to be made).**

Oh what fun!! Our projects stretch out for months and months around here. I can't wait to see the finished room. Seriously, any time you want to come to my house and "set up" I would be more than grateful!

how fun! i bet you will arrange it to look beautiful. i love the set up part too. things are always getting rearranged over here, just because i always find a place where things will look better. have you ever sat and stared at something, whether it be a vase or a knick knack, so long that you absolutely hate it or where you have it set up??? guilty. i know, a little odd, but i think that is all part of the fun of decorating :)

So beautiful! I can never find good things on Craigslist. Of course I'm not all too handy or creative so even if there was something out there with potential, I would probably miss it.

After pictures please!!!!

Tara!!!
I found your blog through Angela Fuhrken. We were talking about trying to get together in KC over the x-mas holidays. Will you be around? You have a beautiful family. Let me know if you want to get together.

Okay, so I've been a very lazy blog writer/reader lately and I'm sorry! And now that I'm caught up...

Love the furniture. Can Dave come to my house? I CAN'T WAIT to see the afters.

And what could be better than a grandpa birthday? Not much in my book.
