Par-tay

The sweet curly-haired girl is officially two! And what a LOVED girlie she is!
It was the details that got me. Because everywhere I looked I saw evidence of parents who put a lot of time and effort into making her day special and memorable. I think that's why I love the bits and pieces photos so much...it's not just a mickey mouse shaped rice crispy treat...it's a mom's way of saying, "I love you".

Tara, that is awesome that you have been able to get "clients"
When I was in Houston a few people offered to pay for pictures and I never took the money. I've taken pictures for a few other people for "free" too. Marc always gets on to me about it but I never feel like I am good enough to take the green. I just need to muster the courage to do it. I just don't know what is fair pricing and then there's processing..I know some people just charge by the half and full hour and then give the clients a CD of pics. Then I always feel like digital photography is one of those things that everyone is doing now days (some is totally worth paying for and some isn't...my opinion)
There's a girl in my ward that I heard is a photographer. I don't know to what extent. I don't really know her and have never seen her work. I wouldn't want her to feel like there was competition because I am the least competitive person you'll ever meet. I just have to live here longer and meet more people other than those I go to church with.
Anyway, I feel like you too..what if they hate the pictures?? I think part of my problem is that I can be a perfectionist and can get into the mentality that if they don't look like Annie Leibovitz took them then they're not good enough. But that's me and my crazy head. Anyway, that's awesome what you've been able to do, you go mom!!!
