Keeping Busy

Ahhhh, summer in Houston. Ridiculously hot and humid. In fact, unless we get to the pool before noon, it is even too hot for swimming! We've been trying to keep busy inside.
making jam and painting pots
I saw the above picture in Sunset Magazine and thought, "free project!" I already had the paint, and some pots that were happy to oblige!
Lastly, hard evidence that Z and L ALWAYS have the last laugh. Yeah, yeah, I might set their bedtimes and regulate the eating of vegetables, but they have their ways! I found these pics on my camera as I uploaded photos this afternoon. Apparently, Zach was interested in having a little photo shoot, and Lily was a willing model. What is that she's eating you ask? Oh, that's just my USB card. haha, this actually explains A LOT!

ps...I just love the top left "self portrait" of the photographer, and the hilarious face on Lily because she knows that the USB card is a BIG no no! Looks to me like she was enjoying the paparazzi "catching" her in the act!

pss..the big question is...where was I?

Oh ... my ... goodness ... the pictures of Z and L are too cute ... and make me thing of a certain picture that ended up on a Canterwood camera ... did we ever figure out who was the amazing model for that fabulous picture? Laughing at the memories.

Cute pots, by the way. And the jam looks positively yummy!

That jam looks SO good. Can you please post on my recipe blog? It looks delicious and homemade jam sounds so much better than store bought.

Those photos of your kids were so, so funny. I love that they were doing it together and she was just posing. How funny are kids?!

Wow! You have been busy! I'm impressed. I love the pots, and LOVE the pictures your kids took of their cute selves! We've been much less productive, but still busy, though I'm not sure why. I have been wanting to call you, and will soon. I hope that all is going well down south. We are moving to a town called Mansfield. It is southeast of Fort Worth, which will put us about 15 miles closer to you, I think. I haven't ever made my own jam, but homemade is by far the best! I think you should start your own recipe blog and give cooking tips, and maybe some decorating and craft tips as well!! I'd check it out often!!

Would you do us all a favor one day and start your own magazine? It would be a lot more useful to have your tips and cute stories in a handheld paperback version :) I love the photographers work, and the pots are so cute, I never would have looked at that color and thought hmm I should paint a pot this color. When I saw the pic of the couch I seriously thought it was your yard.Yummy jam!I bet your neighbors and visiting teachee's love you!

LOL!! Those pictures are too funny. They sure do look like they enjoyed them selves. Your jam looks really yummy, it makes me want to make some too, homemade is the best!! So McKinley got a "kids" digital camera from a friend for her birthday and I was showing it to Mandi a little while ago because I just couldn't believe she would get a gift that expensive from a friend. So as I am showing Mandi the pictures we come across a picture of Court in his "g's", I thought I was going to die!! Mandi and I had a good laugh. After that I looked through all of the pictures to find quit a few more of Court (&I) partially dressed, etc... so needless to say we had to have a talk with our little one about only taking pictures of people when they have clothes on and are aware that you are photographing them!!

Will you please move back to Portland and live right next door to me?!?!? How do you find time to do it all? I agree with Kristy, just start a magazine. I envy your talents and energy!!
