Makes me think of you...dear Lily

This is not the post I was going to write. The one about our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Because when I look at my folder of pictures the only thing that comes to my mind is the marvel that is my 3 year old girl. Marvel I tell you. As soon as we were inside, she was off. And never looked back. Not once. If you wanted to see her feed a goat, pedal a mini tractor, ride a horse swing, go down a two-story slide, or navigate a corn maze, you had better be running behind her. I love Lily with a fierce motherly love. But some days, like pumpkin patch days, I wish I could just be her friend. She enchants me with her blazing independence. And I am so not that girl. Surely she would teach me a thing or two. Of course her choice in pumpkin is an easy example...
wait for it...
wait for it...
It was love at first sight. Totally her pumpkin. And what about a sweet photo with mom to commemorate the day?

not a chance.
Lily, maybe you'll read this one day.
I love you. Oh my gosh, I love you.

That little pumpkin is hilarious! And that picture of you and Lily is so cute...even though you can't see her face. I can't believe how old Zach looks!

Sweet Lily!! I laughed to hard at her pumpkin! It must have been a charlie brown tree moment for her!

I have to second Christy you look BEAUTIFUL! You have to tell me where you got your shirt! I love it!

What's the personality of Roman? It seems like between Zach and Lily you have one of each personality types.

I know another little girl who also doesn't like taking pictures. We actually bought a picture from J.C. Penny's because Julianne has her little pout going on. I like to think it adds character!

Oh I love that photo of you and her together. Someday you will tell her the story of that photo and you will laugh together and then one day she will have a little girl JUST LIKE THAT and you'll laugh and she probably won't;) I love this post!
