I read her book in 1 day. I stuffed myself with her "winning hearts and minds" cake in approximately 1 hour. This dessert is dangerous. 5 ingredients. Melt, stir, bake. And this new cake habit is not helping my "I've got two 10-year reunions coming up and I just had a baby" cause. But it sure does pass a lazy afternoon and it really beats folding the laundry.

Your posts always make me smile! being a lover of a good staling I think I should read it!
I love all the beautiful little touches that you put in your home and in your life. Love those sweet pics of your kids, Roman smiling, Zach and Lily playing superhero...what a blessing to be able to document all the simple joys of life.
yum!! i'm going to need to get that book.
Awesome posts Tara. I love looking at your blog!! Jonah is jealous of the superhero costumes. I need to get some of those. I know Mia would be up for dressing up too, even if it was a boy superhero costume. Roman is so sweet. I love the "real-life" scenario in the bathroom with Zac. I swear something like that happens everyday at our house =) I can totally relate. Take care! You guys are amazing
Can you post the recipe?? That looks like a brownie-sized cake. Which just so happens to be my favorite dessert.
yeah, I know. but would life be worth living without a little chocolate cake in the afternoon? And I'm totally interested in that book - sounds right up my alley.
That cake looks good! I'm still using the "I just had a baby" excuse for the way I look.....I just forget to mention that he's 18 months old now......
Yummo! I love your food pictures. They look like they're right out of a magazine! Love the color and texture contrast too!
Cute little super heros you have!
